Concerto conducted an analysis of debates and discussions between 23 April and 22 June 2023 relating to South Africa's organisation of the upcoming BRICS summit in chosen African countries (Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa), in order to gather an overview of public perceptions on this issue. Particular attention was focused on reactions surrounding the government's hesitation and position on Russian participation at the summit. Over 9,000 tweets (based on geolocation data) were analysed over the period to assess the reaction of public opinion in those countries on the matter.
